Last evening at 10.15 pm ,the high court judge clearead Vishwaroopam for the release. Orders has been passed to the Govt to remove 144 section in all districts against screening of this movie. Later when Govt Advocate General wanted to get a stay order , the court ordered that it will be taken up for hearing at 02.15 pm today, and till that time the judgement should be implemented, but it was not. Isn't it not obeying high court orders , by the govt?
And moreover, this issue is being seen as an issue for Vishwaroopam and Kamal hasan alone. It is not. It is the supressing act by Govt against Tamil Cine Industry. Where the unity among film industry had gone now? Why there are no voices raising in support of the movie from the industry, except few? Are they afraid of the govt, or they are thinking that they do not have freedom of speech and expression?
We boast up that we are the largest democratic and secular country in this world, but I dont see both existing. No freedom of speech, no freedom of expression allowed here. But still we call ours is democracy, I feel dictatorship is lot better, because we will be knowing clearly what will be allowed and what not.
Govt is trying all the possible ways , with the help of the protestors to ban the movie. There are some news coming out that 1 hour duration of the movie which is portraying Afghan militants should be removed, which is the heart of the movie. What hurts the sentiments of these protestors , if an Afghan militant is shown as how he is in real life , which the whole world knows. Do they want to show Afghan militants as heroes of the movie and others as villains? People of thier community who had watched the movie has not found anything offensive, or anything shown which is not happening around the world in reality. Only a few are disliking it because they treat their community ahead of the country.
If you dont like the movie, or dont like to watch it, you do not watch and support it. Why you are asking for a complete ban of the movie? Is it democratic act? Is it patriotic act? It is really degrading thier communtiy. Arent they realising a movie will be seen as a movie by our audience? How many films had really created impact in our society? I bet there is none so far.
It really makes many to feel that , there is no issue other than this, that the Govt has to resolve. The entire state is facing lot of power cuts and many other issues, cant the govt concentrate on those rather than cornering a movie and banning it, despite the High court ruling that the movie can be screened and there is no offensive content at all.
The interview given by Kamal really reveals how he has been cornered and intentional ban against his movie with political motives behind it. Justice delayed is justice not given. Are the people asking for ban are thinking that every one else are fools? It looks they are looking so.
All these acts directly and indirectly reveals few things
1. Kamal hasan has to be cornered, because he supported Chidambaram & did not agree to give satellite rights to Jaya TV
2. There is no freedom of speech and expression exisisting and democracy too.
3. The protestors want to show that they do not have patriotism and they want all the Afghani & Paki militants as good people, because they belong to these protestors community. And more publicity for them.
4. Censor board certification is not at all having any value
5. High court judgement needs not be followed by the Govt mandatorily.
There are millions are people eagerly waiting to watch the movie in TN. Absolute failure of Govt and democracy here in this case.
P.S : It is not to offend any one. Its just my view on the happenings going on Vishwaroopam. Everyone knows all these too.
Really, this is dirty politics by JAYA
